This lovely family owned guest house is cosy and cute and covers all ones requirements of a place to kip and hang out when visiting the sleepy town of Selçuk (though I'm sure it bustles to kingdom come during the summer!) Their upper terrace is just as delightful in person as it is in their profile pictures and, once again, I'm sure it's actually glorious to hang out up there come the summertime. As it was, being low season, there were only a few souls around, but the family were attentive and very generous with their time and also their (great!) Turkish coffee. The owner lent me a guide book to take with me to travel through the incredible wonders of Efes, and was also very kind and accommodating to me when I arrived (much) too early! Splendorous surroundings, a sweet guesthouse, the foundations of which are made up of splendid people; is all in all equal to the summary of this review!

The warm welcome and sociable atmosphere of the guesthouse as amazing. I stayed in two rooms over 10 days, comfortable beds clean and fresh linen. As a guest house thr rooms were not cleaned each day but it was easy to ask for fresh towels and bathroom waste bag to be emptied. Room staff were always willing to help. Bathrooms worked well. Breakfast time was extended to 10 and there was a large plate of cheese, fruit, egg, breads and spreads. Tea, nescafe and filter coffee to drink. The very comfortable roof terrace was accessible all day and from 6pm tea, coffee, water, beer and raki were available.A great place to chat with other guests, of all ages, exchange info and play backgammon or cards. Harry, the owner goes the extra mile to make things work ai8nd Ari his son a warm and gentle host, And Mooghly, the dog!

We were so sad to leave this hospitable home. I could have stayed here and in Selcuk for much longer, rather than Istanbul actually. Lovely Harry is Turkish but grew up in Australia. Atti, his son serves tea, coffee and alcohol to the guests through the day and night. They are kind and warm and both speak English. Breakfast was great! There are many sites to see: Ephesus was simply breathtaking (and we had just seen Pompeii!) Sirince is 20 mins on the dolmus. You can even do a daytrip by train to Pamukkale. Don’t stay in busy Izmir, relax with the friendly people and restaurants of Selcuk. The rooms are simple, beds are comfortable with a very basic bathroom. But you can live so comfortably on the rooftop lounge with lovely views, and read alone or chat with the host and guests. I will come back.

The location is excellent—within walking distance of the main sights in Selçuk and just a 10-minute drive to Ephesus. The highlight of our stay was the outstanding service. Harry and Ataturk were fantastic hosts—warm, attentive, and full of helpful recommendations that truly enhanced our experience. The room was comfortable, with a well-functioning AC, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast was a lovely traditional Turkish spread, and the rooftop is beautiful, offering stunning views of the area. We highly recommend Anz Guest House. We had a wonderful time and are truly grateful to everyone there for making our stay so memorable.

The location is great, as it's very close to the Ephesus ancient city (3 km), to the city center and also the temple of Artemis is quite close. The room was equipped with everything needed, albeit small, so don't bring too much luggage. There is ac if needed. The best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace, which has a nice view of the surrounding area and where breakfast is served (and its quite a good breakfast). I must add that the hosts made us feel welcome and helped us with everything we needed. Also, parking is available on the street nearby.
